THE REVOLUTION STARTS HERE

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Evidence of the link between smartphone uptake, the loss of socialising in real life, and record levels of teenage anxiety is now overwhelming. This is a generation that’s been swallowed up by social media and starved of places to hang out together face-to-face. Everywhere we turn, we hear fellow parents crying out for somewhere for their children to be that isn’t on screens in their bedrooms. All while staring out at a high street devoid of anywhere safe and welcoming for teenagers to go, following a decade of government cuts to youth funding. We simply can’t stand around any longer waiting for government or ‘big tech’ to solve this. They won’t.

So today we’re launching the #IRLrevolution

A parent-led movement to convert empty high street properties into incredible youth membership venues, giving teenagers a properly compelling alternative to their screens and a desperately needed space to hang out face-to-face with friends.

It’s a revolution started by the two of us, Paul & Cheryl… friends, former colleagues, and mutually concerned parents. It’s a revolution that will have reverberations far beyond our own families and neighbourhoods. But it’s a revolution that will only happen if the thousands of other concerned parents stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us.

We need other parents to make their voices heard, help us demonstrate to councils, landlords and developers that we’re desperate for change and determined to MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

Because the more parents who join the #IRLrevolution, the more impact we can have.

So share this post in your parent whatsapps, your community groups, and your linkedin networks. Share it with anyone who cares about the happiness of the next generation.

And most importantly, hit the button below to join us.

Vive the #IRLrevolution!
